Shelter dogs’ photobooth images encourage adoption
An animal rescue and adoption organisation based in Utah, U.S., came up with the idea that photobooth images just might help find new homes for the dogs from their shelters.
The stunning wildlife portraits of Nick Brandt

Nick Brandt is a Los Angeles based videogapher who has followed his passion for photographing the wild animals of East Africa for the past 14 years.
With his medium-format film camera in hand, Brandt spends weeks following and becoming accepted by his subjects, before waiting for favourable combinations of lighting and behaviour.
The resulting photographs are nothing short of spectacular.

Yakini, a newborn gorilla, receives a thorough checkup from Royal Children’s Hospital neonatal specialist Neil Campbell at Australia’s Melbourne Zoo, and is more than a little surprised by the chilliness of the stethoscope!
